I run multiple ARK servers and have since it was released as well as many other game servers and none of them have a Steam login to download mods. Witch at current is all the generic module supports. But the generic module does not support logging into steamCMD and as such does not allow for automatic mod downloading/updating as it requires a logged in user session to download mods and not being logged in as an anonymous user. Ark and multiple other modules do download mods but only because they need to be logged into steamCMD as a user to download the server and they reuse the login session to get the mods. Mods can be downloaded anon as ARK and multiple other games/servers do it all the time. Either that or the ability to tell SteamCMD to use a login on Generic Modules. I would also like official support for Conan Exiles. But the Generic Module doesn't support logging into SteamCMD. So you would have to log into SteamCMD to get the mods. The reason the generic modules don't work with mods is because the game can be downloaded anonymously but mods cant.
